The SAMO Gala Dinner
Each year, the Société des Amis des Musées d’Orsay et de l’Orangerie (SAMO) brings together enthusiastic connoisseurs and notable figures in the art world for a gala evening. Its objective is to support the public establishment in enriching its national collections.
This prestigious annual gathering for the Société des Amis des Musées d’Orsay et de l’Orangerie has taken place since 2011, thanks to the initiative of the Count of Ribes. The SAMO Gala Dinner reunites refined connoisseurs, collectors and notable figures in the art world, patrons and philanthropists who provide their support to the Orsay and Orangerie Museums. Organized each year around the exhibit taking place at the Orsay Museum, the Gala Dinner has become an indispensable Parisian event.
The funds collected at each Gala Dinner are used towards the purchase of a work of art to enrich the Orsay Museum’s collection.
