The Foundation at the heart of research in art history
In 2022, the FARMO launched the first edition of its doctoral scholarships awarded to three young art history researchers. Each year, a new edition of FARMO scholarships will be opened to doctoral students in order to support and strengthen the community of young researchers. These new scholarships are part of the development phase of the Orsay museum’s Centre de Recherches et de Ressources (Center for Research and Resources, or CRR) – Daniel Marchesseau, scheduled to open in 2027. Located in the Hôtel de Mailly-Nesle, in the immediate vicinity of the Orsay museum, the CRR will become an international research centre dedicated to art history during the 1848–1914 period.
Why support the FARMO?
Give purpose to your commitment by helping to advance research in history and art history while broadening access to culture. Supporting the Fondation des Amis pour le Rayonnement des Musées d’Orsay et de l’Orangerie means enabling both museums to continue fulfilling their essential role in education and in transmitting artistic and historical knowledge to future generations.
