General Terms of Use
These conditions are subject to change and are binding for the Association in the state in which they exist at the time of service provision, subject to the party invoking them after providing necessary proof.
1. Description of services provided
The website https://amis-musee-orsay.org/ (hereby referred to as ‘The Site’) has as an objective to provide information concerning all the activities of the Amis d’Orsay (hereby referred to as ‘The Association’), and notably to permit individuals and companies to adhere to the Association, to make donations as well as to subscribe to the Orsay and Orangerie Museums’ newsletter.
2. Website user commitments
The user guarantees the Association the correctness of all elements communicated and commits to informing the Association of all changes concerning one of more of these elements, either directly on the Site, or via email using the address: amis@amis-musee-orsay.org.
As soon as the user is made aware, he/she must inform the Association of the loss or theft of his/her login information on the Site, or of any misappropriation or unauthorized use of his/her login information via email at: amis@amis-musee-orsay.org.
3. Joining the Association
a. For individuals
Joining the Association can be done in the following manner:
- On the Site, selecting the ‘Join’ tab, then ‘Individuals’
- Click on the preferred membership form, then select ‘Join’
- Select the amount of your application donation in ‘My Donation’
- Complete the ‘My Contact Information’ form
- Required information: preferred title, first and last name of applicant #1, country/region, street number and name, zip code, city, telephone, email address
- Double membership – applicant #2’s last name: information sent by email
- Payment
- Accept the General Terms of Use
Payment can be made in four ways:
- By credit card on the website
- In cash
- By check: written out to the ‘SAMO’ or ‘Société des Amis des Musées d’Orsay ou de l’Orangerie’
Attach the completed donation form, which can be downloaded on the Site.

Conditions: the Young Patron must be under the age of 46 at the time of his/her donation

- ‘A Morning at the Museum’: a guided visit before opening to the public, followed by a networking breakfast in the Petit Salon and a conference on Art in the Workplace
- A guided tour on a Monday, while the Orsay Museum is closed

The Association accepts:
Receiving donations in the form of furniture or property, in full ownership or in usufruct, as well as cash donations;
To be a beneficiary of life insurance policies;
To receive bequests.

5. Tax receipt
Once the donation has been received or the membership accepted, a tax receipt will be sent by the Association to the donor via email to the email address provided, so long as the donation is above or equal to 10 €.

On the Site, select the ‘Newsletter’ tab
Submit the email address to which you would like the Association’s newsletter to be sent

7. Intellectual property
The Association owns the intellectual rights or contractual rights of use for all elements on the Site, notably: all texts, images, graphics, icons, sounds, software, logos, brands, domain names and other distinctive signs. These elements are protected by the legislation in place regarding intellectual property.
All reproduction, representation, modification, publication or adaptation of all or part of the elements on the Site, regardless of the manner or procedure used, is forbidden without prior written authorization from the Association or rights holder.
Any unauthorized exploitation of the Site or any of the elements that it contains will be considered as constituting infringement and may be criminally prosecuted in accordance with the provisions of articles L.335-2 and the Intellectual Property Code.

8. Site availability
We inform you that the Site is accessible 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, except in cases of force majeure, computer difficulties, difficulties relating to telecommunications network or technical difficulties.
For maintenance reasons, the Société des Amis des Musées d’Orsay et de l’Orangerie can interrupt access to the site without prior notice.
9. The Association’s limit of responsibility
The Association does everything possible to share accurate, updated information on the Site, but cannot guarantee its accuracy, completeness or timeliness.
The Association cannot be held responsible for:
- Errors or omission of information shared on the Site;
- Direct or indirect damages that may result from accessing or using the Site, including accessibility, loss of data, deterioration, destruction or virus that may affect your IT equipment and/or the presence of viruses on the Site.
The Site contains a certain number of hyperlinks towards third-party websites. The Association does not control the content of these sites and declines all responsibility regarding their consultation and content.
10. Applicable law
Any dispute regarding the use of the Site falls under French law.
